One of the best and handiest ways to do that is to take a tour of the historic Cades Cove area of the park. Roller coaster fans are now only days away from getting one of the hottest seats in town—a ride on the brand-new Wild Eagle roller coaster at Dollywood. The $20 million steel-wing coaster is the first of its kind in the U.S. The coaster's innovative floorless design seats passengers four abreast in a forward-facing position, with two riders actually seated on each “wing" along either side of the coaster's track. That means there's nothing but air above and below them.
