Thrilling New Faith-Based Adventure Comes to the Smoky Mountains

The Tennessee Smokies are famed for their faith-based attractions, from the Biblical Times Dinner Theater to the Southern Gospel Music Hall of Fame.

Now a new Biblical adventure is coming to Pigeon Forge. And it promises to bring faith-based experiences to an awe-inspiring new level.

Slated to open in March 2025 at 2860 Parkway, the new 26,000-square-foot attraction is called Truth Traveler (a play on the concept of time travel). It's the brainchild of Answers in Genesis, the Christian apologetics ministry behind Kentucky's Ark Encounter and Creation Museum. For the third time now, AIG is teaming up with renowned developer Mindscape Creative – this time to create an immersive 5D VR ride like nothing you've experienced before.

The Heart of the Attraction: Four-Seat Virtual Reality Bays

Nestled in a spacious bay, you and your family will relax comfortably in custom-made MX4D Motion EFX seats, which move, poke, and vibrate – and even blast air and diffuse fragrant scents. You'll be equipped with space-age VR headsets. And as you enjoy the show, your seat's movements and special effects will be synchronized with the sights and sounds you're seeing and hearing. Result: total immersion. You'll feel as if you're truly there.

But where is “there”? In the Bible, of course! Truth Traveler VR takes you back in time through key Biblical events and places including:

• The Garden of Eden: You'll view the magnificent creation of the universe, the creation of Adam and Eve, and their tragic fall. Plus, you'll thrill as God foretells the coming of the Redeemer.
• Noah's Ark: You'll watch as Noah builds the massive Ark amid the jeers of his countrymen. You'll venture inside with the animals. Then you'll witness the mighty Flood as it fills the entire earth.
• The Tower of Babel: You'll marvel as the world's peoples strive to construct a towering structure reaching up to the heavens. (Spoiler: God has other plans.)
• The Nativity: You'll see the birth of Jesus Christ unfolding before your eyes, as Mary lays the tiny newborn Babe in a lowly manger surrounded by friendly animals. It's the ultimate Christmas experience, available all year 'round.

That's Just the Beginning

Constructed to the tune of $15.5 million, the Truth Traveler attraction will also include:

• A vast planetarium with a 98-foot-diameter tilted dome, where laser projectors and special effects will showcase the wonders of the cosmos
• A 1,200-square-foot theater offering a tailored Bible-themed show once per hour – plus live performances and concerts at night
• A spacious gift shop, where you can purchase everything from Bibles and Christian gifts to biblical souvenirs.
• A special sit-down eatery serving delectable food and drinks (all biblically themed, of course)
