No matter how often you visit the Great Smoky Mountains, you'll always find new things to see and do. New sights and sounds. New fairs and festivals. New breathtaking scenic vistas. And new family-friendly activities.
Right now, in fact, three awesome attractions have just opened in Pigeon Forge. Visit soon to enjoy all-new adventures such as....
Located at 112 Dollywood Lane in Pigeon Forge – right behind TopJump – Toy Box Mini Golf is the first toy-themed miniature golf course in the Smokies. With its focus on classic, iconic toys, it appeals to kids of all ages, from tiny tots to nostalgic seniors.
Even the building is toy-themed – it resembles a giant toy box! Outside, you'll find the golf course itself, complete with 18 challenging holes set amid super-sized toys – colorful slinkies, building blocks, toy soldiers, go-karts, Rubik's cubes, and more. Inside, even more fun awaits you: a magical toy store, an intricate laser maze, and a gallery of giant toys, perfect for family photo-ops.
Have you heard of axe throwing? It's the latest sports craze, and it's taking the Smokies by storm.
Experience it yourself at The Axe House, a family-focused attraction with locations in Pigeon Forge and Sevierville.
Never thrown an axe before? No worries. Expert axe-throwing coaches will guide you, step by step, till you're hitting those bullseyes like a pro.
Already a skilled thrower? You'll be glad to know that The Axe House is officially affiliated with the World Axe Throwing League. All lanes, targets, and axes meet the stringent legal standards for professional competition.
Either way, you'll have a blast competing with family and friends to see who can score the most points. Then, once you've worked up a hearty appetite, you can chow down on scrumptious eats – wood-fired pizza, tangy wings, savory appetizers, delectable desserts.
Open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, The Axe House welcomes throwers of all ages. In Pigeon Forge, it's located in the Factory Outlet Mall (2850 Parkway #13). In Sevierville, it's at 1436 Winfield Dunn Parkway, Suite 6.
Two years ago, Gatlinburg's popular Rowdy Bear Mountain Adventure Park expanded to Pigeon Forge with an all-new attraction called Rowdy Bear Ridge.
Right from the outset, this kid-pleasing park began offering fun-filled activities like downhill tubing and laser-gun coasting. Now, it also offers the unique new Power Coaster, the first ride of its kind in America.
Unlike other mountain coasters, the Power Coaster features CoasterKarts: roomy, rubber-wheeled vehicles similar to go-karts. Each cart comfortably fits two people side by side, so you can share the experience with your sweetie or bestie. Plus, you can control how fast you go, thanks to hand throttles powered by electromagnetic technology.
At full throttle, you can race down the hillside at up to 25 mph. But if that's a tad too speedy, you can throttle back at any point along the scenic 2,000-foot track. It's ideal for all ages, from grade-schoolers to grannies.
Located at 2155 Parkway, Pigeon Forge, Rowdy Bear Ridge is open daily from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Much more awaits you in the Great Smoky mountains, and new attractions open up all the time. Contact Volunteer Cabin Rentals now to reserve your comfortable cabin in the Smokies just minutes from all the excitement.
