Christmas is behind us, and Valentine's Day is bearing down on us. But that doesn't mean that Winterfest is over in the Smokies. In fact, you have until the end of this month to take part in the four-month-long celebration of winter in the mountains.
For starters, you can still check out all the Winterfest light displays along the Parkway and on many of the other major routes around town. Brilliant animated LED displays are still bringing an element of magic to the Pigeon Forge nights. And with traffic down during this time of year, getting out in your car and going for a lights tour of your own is a cinch.
There are also more special events coming up in Pigeon Forge. For example, this Thursday through Saturday (2/7 – 2/9), check out the Smoky Mountain Gospel Jubilee at Country Tonite Theatre. Other upcoming events include the February Freeze 5k race on February 9 and the 13th Annual Saddle Up!, which runs February 21 through 24 and is based at the Spirit of Smokies Condo Lodge.
And remember that our Wears Valley cabins are only a 10-minute drive from Pigeon Forge, so you can enjoy the best of both worlds. You can stay with us out in the middle of the Smoky Mountain solitude and scenery and then zip over to Pigeon Forge for your vacation entertainment.
